著者About the book

A novel in two voices, in the same city.

One single book, read from beginning to end. Beneath the surface, however, two stories run in parallel: one in full daylight, the other against the light. The second one only reveals itself once the first has trained the reader's eye.

Vista de Tokio a través de una ventana lluviosa現

Slice of life · gen · what is present

The diary

A notebook written at street level: the tiny apartment, the fifty thousand yen a month, the train rides, the grey working days paid for in hours of life.

Bosque de cedros bajo la niebla幻

Magical realism · gen · what appears

The other side

What happens in the same city when nobody is looking: a thousand-year forest opening under the rain, an immense owl in the mist, a library hidden among cedars.

Author's note

Christian Delgado

Mathematician and writer

Born in Bogotá, where he writes. Devoted to Japanese culture —which he has learned with the slowness of someone willing to be taught— he believes that through writing and literature we can know ourselves better and, in the same measure, heal. Since December 2024 he has kept this double notebook: an everyday chronicle and, alongside it, its imagined reverse.
